Overview
About Me
I am, essentially, an explorer. Whether that be of countries, books, languages, cities, new skills, or nerdy TV and podcasts series, I am exploring.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to travel and meet interesting people. Whenever I get settled (and have a couch, that's an important criteria!), I would love to host others as well. I think meeting people from different countries and comparing and discussing cultures is one of the best ways to broaden a person's mind.
Interests
So many! I love reading, linguistics, learning languages, anthropology and museums, history, juggling, cooking, swimming, being on or in the water in some way, martial arts, arty arts, attempting to write decently, trying new foods, exploring, photography, circus arts, theater, BBC dramas, listening to good radio, nerdiness, and many other things.

Music, Movies, and Books
In general, I like most music, but I particularly like classic rock, punk, and funky indie. Ferris Bueller's Day Off is one of my favorite films, although I generally like "thinky films." As for books, there are too many. My favorite from childhood is The Moorchild, and my favorites recently are The Catcher in the Rye, Fresh Off the Boat, and Who Fears Death.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekked to the head of the Ganges - it was brilliant!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach someone how to juggle (although it might take a little while), cook vegetarian and vegan dishes, as well as some mean desserts, help with English, and other things. I'm willing to learn most anything (I have lots of interests). I can share my passion for learning and good conversation.
