Kia ora, my name is Kayley and I stem from the magical shores of Aotearoa, New Zealand. I left my home land last October 2014 for Europe in search of new culture, new experiences, new friends/family and more perspective. I have covered quite abit of Europe now and I'm continuously surprised by the beauty of this continent and the people I've had the great pleasure of engaging with. During the summer I got around via hitchhiking which was mostly a positive experience. I strongly promote the concept of give and take and am a firm believer in manifesting all that you need and desire. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people and enjoy foreign experiences. I'm open minded and like to learn through living! For me traveling isn't about ticking things off the list it's more about capturing the essence of a place and I feel that staying with locals allows me to this as I get an inside perspective which I wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

Music: love most music but lean towards soul, funk, jazz, hip hop, r'n'b, rap, reggae, swing, scar and anything that has a good beat to dance to. Music helps communicate what words can simply not!

Most recent amazing thing I did was quitting my job and deciding to travel using 'workaway'. Also being introduced to Rainbow gatherings!! 🌈

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, share my knowledge, cook (lean towards improvised cooking as I don't quite have a specialty meal that I regard highly enough yet). I'm always keen to learn new things. I've recently started doing henna which is so much fun. I also like to collage and am always keen to sit and share my style or learn new ways. I also love playing with hair eg plaiting and I'm not bad at giving massages as my mother 'encouraged' me as a child and being the nice girl I am I gave in 😊

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to help out where necessary and I am also very happy when a host highlights something that I could help with. I enjoy cooking and I'm also very good at cleaning up after myself or if I see a job I will also happily use my initiative.
