I like to think im a pretty badass bitch- strong, independent, opinionated but incredibly open minded. I am also an understanding, compassionate and sociable person.

I enjoy time on my own- I like to explore places by myself, write and clear my head.

I'm also totally fun to hang out with :D

At the moment I'm staying with my dad so I unfortunately can't host but when I'm set up with my own place in a couple of months I'm going to hit the hosting hard! I'm always keen to meet new people or show you around joburg when possible though :)

To meet like minded people and locals of countries. Staying with a CS host is a way to really enrich your travel experience. The people I have met through this network- not just surfing but events and hangouts too- have been the most incredible! I am continuously blown away by the kindness, open mindedness and community of the CS network.

When I am back home and have my living situation sorted I also intend to host frequently and give back to the travelling community.

All forms of art- literature, film, theatre, dance, music, visual art, architecture, etc. I enjoy reading, writing and watching live music. I also enjoy cooking, socialising and philosophy. And of course travel. I also like to play guitar and sing but I'm not good at this at all. I also enjoy seeing nature and outdoor activities. I am very adventurous.

Such a difficult question!

Music- I listen to all genres but mainly enjoy indie, bluesy, rock n roll type stuff. Favourite bands are the black keys, tv on the radio, portugal the man, racontuers, white stripes (and everything involving Jack white), arctic monkeys, cage the elephant, band of skulls, black rebel motorcycle club, eagles of death metal, queens of the stone age, velvet underground, ramones, wolfmother... the list goes on and on and includes many others outside this genre.

Books- everything Bret Easton Ellis, Hunter S. Thompson, Paulo Coehlo, Raymond carver, Ernest Hemingway, William Faulkner, James Joyce, Dennis Johnson, Jeanette Winterson, JM Coetzee, Chimananda Adichie, Ngugi wa T'iongo, Wole Soyinka... this list also goes on and on

Films- favourite directors are wes Anderson, Quinton Tarantino, Lars von trier, Richard linklater and many others. There are so many incredible films I love I can't even begin to list them! Let's just have a conversation about it :)
