ABOUT ME
I'm a medical student living in New York. After university, I took a gap year to work, visit friends in other countries, travel for fun, and travel for work. I'm worked for an American global health non-profit, meeting with health organizations in Southeast Asia. I love to run, I like to sketch but don't do it enough, I like music (play piano but spend more time listening), I love dogs that are bigger than a bread basket, I love to read (recently made the jump to non-fiction), and I try to write. I think everybody is worth talking to, I love good food and bad food equally, I want to try to learn more languages and perfect the ones I've started on.
PHILOSOPHY
I like to help where I can in the big picture by volunteering and working for causes I believe in. This is mainly through public health work. But I also really believe in the small, day-to-day interactions that make people happy, so I try to be polite and nice and generally Minnesotan about life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just got into this, plan on hosting when I'm done traveling and have a couch
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
No official CouchSurfing experience, but a lot of informal ones. One of the better experiences: couch surfing with a middle-aged funeral home director with a sleep apnea machine when I couldn't get a ride home from a bar. The puffing sound was actually really soothing.
