About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taking as long as possible to get from A to B

ABOUT ME

I absolutely love people, new cultures and the great outdoors!

I cherish the details of the people & places I'm lucky enough to encounter.

PHILOSOPHY

Love as deeply, needlessly, and often as possible.

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it's not. -Dr.Seuss (my favorite philosopher)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm coming to Ecuador for some mountain guide training on Cotopaxi. I have 1 week before and 2 weeks after to explore! I would love any advice you have!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been so lucky to make some AMAZING friends couchsurfing! I've become friends with every host I've stayed with. As a solo female traveler, I've only had one dodgy experience. I lucked out and realized things were sketchy before I met the host. But I rave about couchsurfing and encourage people to use it all the time!

Interests

I love anything active & outdoors especially on the water, Rock & Ice climbing, places the locals go, neuroscience, mountains, kayaking, dance, krav maga, singing jazz, social justice stuff, natural wonders, goofballing, and of course exploring new countries with the intention of getting as lost as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

This I Believe, The Ugly American, Bossypants, anything by the Dalai Lama...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite by far was the family in Kashmir that brought me in to their tent home tucked into the mountains stretching into Pakistan. The clothes they had, they wore. We didn't speak each other's languages, share religions, or even look a like, in yet we all shared an afternoon just smiling as they showed me their family photos. They insisted I have an expensive scoop of sugar in my tea as they were delighted to have sugar to share. I learned a lot about how to live from them.
