ABOUT ME

Hi there, nice to virtually meet you! I'm a 22 y/o globetrotter & social media creative. Crazy about meeting new people, hearing their stories, linking the offline and online world, building engaged communities, I wanted to do something radically different, something disruptive, something creative, so I individually built a brand called ‘teachmewhatever’ in which I asked random strangers all over the world to teach me whatever. By linking my offline learnings to a social media adventure, I engaged with different cultures on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, Wordpress and more social media channels. My strong online presence got rewarded with some cool sponsors who asked me to which city I really wanted to go. "San Francisco" I said! And here I am. Right now I am looking for a job where I can truly connect people and make a difference.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After meeting random strangers on an airplane I asked them if I could couchsurf at their house. It turned out to be the greatest experience ever and I am happy to say all the Portuguese people I stayed with, turned out to be soulmates. Convinced that couchsurfing is amazing, I continued doing it in Rome, where I had the time of my life. After meeting people in Barcelona and Prague, I told them that if they ever needed a place to stay in Belgium, they just have to tell me. And that's exactly what happened! Two weeks later someone from San Francisco stayed over and another two weeks after that an Australian couple crashed on my couch. Meeting so many people makes me feel alive... every day.

I don't have a specific taste in music, I can enjoy listening to anything. I like Disclosure, Sam Smith, Chris Clouse, Daughter but even Justin Timberlake. So it really depends on my mood!

I would like to share my "teachmewhatever" story with other couchsurfers and educate them on how that truly changed my life and opened doors. From Belgium to San Francisco. From nothing to partnerships with Sony, travel companies and banks. From a regular person to someone people can look up to.
