About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience, people, art, perspective, giving in to homelessness... chronicling insanity with fiction....

ABOUT ME

Currently, traveling in Europe, mostly Berlin if you want to meet up for a drink. I landed in San Francisco after traveling for a year...Costa Rica, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Morocco, Ireland, Scotland, England...but will probably not return until December/January 2013.

Finding a dearth of travel stories that connected with people rather than place, I began a project that takes a short story approach to travel non-fiction. If you want to check out this project, visit www.waywardbetty.com
(*wrapping this up for now and trying to rewrite a longer work of fiction)
I am a freelance writer-- living, trying to settle in San Francisco... always with a passion for travel, exploration and wanderlust (it is an interesting challenge, making this work in the everyday).

I graduated from law school, but realized that I was not prepared to "embrace my legal mind." Ouch! Sounds painful. Instead, I write, paint, play guitar, and can drink red or white at any time of the year. I like flowers, autumn, swimming, walking barefoot, doing handstands, gazing at the stars, dancing, and pretty much getting into fun trouble.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Not hosting..currently traveling around Europe, but I have a semi-permanent apt. in Berlin.

Also, I'm kind of a foodie, so if you want to get spicy...

Interests

I really like seeing to places and trying new things. I have lived all over the US in Seattle, Tucson, Boston, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and New York City. Sometimes I wish that I could carry everyone I love in my backpack. When I miss people, I like to write postcards and letters (sending them the old school way). My perfect day would involve something active (swimming, running, yoga),having some time for reading and writing, finally enjoying a nice dinner and some good wine with friends, old and new.
