PHILOSOPHY

A balance between living for today and saving (just a little bit) for "tomorrow", and at the end of the day, resting easy on the notion that things happen as they're meant to, as hard of a lesson as that sometimes is. I laugh in the face of difficulty and strife, when it's my own and help people through there's with a sense of humor, that is sure to lift them out of said mire, sooner, rather than later. So long as sane and Nice, I'll talk to just about anyone! I love making new friends, seeing them or talking to them often, and in the interim, keeping them close, at heart.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to be-friend fellow couch surfers when they visit me in what is now my two bed room apartment in Raleigh. You can either stay in my private bed room, and or sofa. The apartment boasts a crsip, clean, and modern design and a relatively large deck overlooking the pool and tennis courts. My place is smack dab in the middle of North Raleigh and Downtown Raleigh, easy to everything, even Chappel Hill and Carrboro. The later two are only 28 minutes away and the former, only 15.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed with a gal in Charleston. I had such a positive experience and great time, that I had moved to my beloved Charleston a little over a year and a half ago. There after, for work purposes, I recently relocated to Raleigh, NC, awaiting my verification post card (though, I didn't include my unit number, as the network said it was "optional"-hope it's not a problem)

Couch surfing also took my friend, Laura Mange to a whole new way of life, starting with South Beach, Miami. Now, she is couch surfing (for almost 7 years) in Australia, trying to make a great life for herself and others there. She is a great gal as is Jodi, my roommate and our fellow couch surfer!

Interests

I love just about anything. Anything, but watching Sports on TV, TV, in general and listening to music that's too hard core, such as heavy metal, Rap (as opposed to R & B) or country, country music. Though I do like Blue Grass - the concerts here, in Raleigh the wk of Sept. 26th, much like Mardi Gras, are not to be missed! With this, I am not into the Club Club scene any more. I much prefer Restaurants by day and a club-esq' loungy type of place, by night, with music like Cold Play or Cafe Del Mar. As for recreation, I love culture and exploring. I would like to do so on roller Blades, but haven't learned how yet... You know what they say, "the bigger (taller) they are, the harder they fall!" Aside from worldly travels, that's the only other thing I really want to work on - having NO fear. I love the water, but fear sharks. I really want to dive right in to each and every challenging turf or surf activity, regardless !

Music, Movies, and Books

I actually love the Movie, PS I LOVE YOU and a movie called "Barney's Version" As for Music, I love Ray La Montagne, O.A.R, and during my first couch surfing experience, I'm actually going to see good ole' Barry Manilow. Whooo!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When i surprised my old friend with a visit. I found that she had listened to my advice, which she either hadn't prior or hadn't received from any one else prior. I learned that the little one to which I am referring walked for the first time that day. That day too, he walked for the first time, and opened the door to me.

When i met my first love (and as of now, I think my last, though we're no longer together)

When i heard that many building managers and owners were on board with my business idea www.allinplaceinc.com (then the Union, which my Brother In-law is also a part of, stepped in)

Most recently when i saw my Grandfather off to the great spirit in the sky as all of my Mom's 6 siblings and extended family stood by. It was bitter sweet, but somehow more sweet, as he was no longer in pain and reunited with his Father and his Son. (July 29th, 2012) May he R.I.P

Teach, Learn, Share

Smile often and try not to judge, don't hold a grudge, and don't cry too much, so your spirit won't smudge, and you'll likely learn all the teachings the world and all of the the people and things in it, have to offer.
