About Me
I believe myself to be a friendly, easy going being, open to exploring most opportunities and experiences that come my way. I am a solo parent of my beautiful 1 year old daughter who is such a little character it's impossible not to smile at all times in her presence. If you host us, we co sleep so we would need a double bed or a similar sized, somewhat comfortable space to sleep. My days of roughing it on the road have come to an end now!
Reading, writing, the Arts, dance, herbalism, plant/food cultivation, making jewellery, yoga, meditation, fitness & nutrition, astrology, and drinking great coffee are some of my many, many interests and hobbies. I try and expose my daughter to as much of this as possible, and she is a super social being so we are always up for checking out an event or going on adventure, especially where we can boogie.
We are a highly energetic uet super peaceful and grounded pair. I really enjoy and embrace silence, and whenever possible I try and take time to appreciate my surroundings. At the same time i love forming real connections with people through talking about life, brain picking, sharing experiences or even just chilling out together watching some TV or cooking. Experiencing comfortable silence with people is a sign of a true connection to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing has always reminded me of how kind humans can be. As a person who has experienced her fair share of trauma I found for a while I lost my trust in people, and believee the world was a bad and scary place. Now, on the ither side of that darkness, and as a mother who intends to continue travelling with my child, I hope to expose her to the kindness of the global community at the same time as teaching her safety and awareness in new places. Not to mention the infinite levels of learning that come naturally from this experience and the connections made.
Interests
I love to learn new things so I am constantly endeavouring to develop my skill set. Right now my focus is on my movement and massage practice, as well as preparing to further my studies with the end goal of being a psychedelic-assisted therapist.
I'm a very open minded and open hearted person, I take an interest in anything and everything that I have not yet experienced for myself. I love to hear about other people's hobbies and try out and learn new things whenever an opportunity arises.
I'm currently learning to play the handpan and generally percussion instruments.
