ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty practical and occasionally logical person. I don't believe in fairy tales but I have a healthy sense of romance and often get overly excited about little details in our lives

I'm good at talking to people and draw a lot of pleasure from talking to people and helping them where I can

Nothing turns me on more than someone who knows exactly what they're talking about. People who are passionate about stuff, no matter what it is, are always really interesting

PHILOSOPHY

Knowledge is defined as knowing that tomato is a fruit, wisdom by not putting it in fruit salad.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I've only hosted once before and that was back in 2009!

I couch surfed across North America in 2009 and 2010. I had an amazing experience and made some great friends.

I'm doing a short stint in Austin before heading to Canada (December 2017), and would like to meet someone who can show me around, have a beer with, maybe see a band etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The sort of people that are drawn to couchsurfing are the sort of people you want to know. The sort of people that help out strangers. The sort of people that get up and do things. The sort of people that know right from wrong. The sort of people that can enjoy little things in life.

Couchsurfing is the sort of thing that makes this world great. And it's the people that make it.

Interesses

What makes things tick.

I have a sort of lust for knowledge. I like to learn about everything. Although these days I'm reading less and watching more :(

More specifically, I like craft beer, and low and slow BBQ.

I like cameras too...I realised this after spending a great deal of money on a number of cameras that spend a lot of time on the shelf! I'd like to say I'm in to photography but I think it may just be cameras :)

I'm in a bit of a post-rock/ambient hole at the moment. Lyrics sometimes get in the way!

While I'm no serious film buff, I like to follow film makers and actors. I like to learn about how movies are made and what makes some better than others. As of writing this, the most recent films I've watched are Blade Runner 2049, the Skeleton Twins, Point Break, Chef

My bookshelf has a lot of anti-religion material stuck between some Isaac Asimov, Neal Stephesnon, Graham Swift and Naomi Klein

How to make a ninja star from an A4 piece of paper
How organised religion damages the world
How to sharpen-ish kitchen knives

I want to learn:
How to walk up an escalator that isn't working. For some reason I always shift my momentum as if it's running!
