About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to experience all the craziness out in this world.

ABOUT ME

I am a fun down to earth person who loves to travel and experience new people, places, and customs in life.

I am currently traveling around Europe after teaching 1 year in Shanghai, China and 1 year in Hanoi, Vietnam. Unfortunately I was so busy in Hanoi I had to put CS on hold, but now that I'll be traveling awhile I would love to pick it back up again!

PHILOSOPHY

My life has changed to quickly and unpredictably in the past few years for me to have figured it all out quite yet, but I have learned that with a positive, open mind you really can't go wrong.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch surfed and hosted a few times, as well as participated in different city CS events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The times I have couch surfed have allowed me to meet the most amazing people. It is a great way to truly emerge into a culture and lifestyle. This community is dominated by the most open minded, wonderful individuals.

Interests

I love music, art (more specifically I personally draw, paint, and practice photography, but do generally love all art), reading, being out in the world, eating, drinking, and being around stimulating people. I love traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read on my down time, and every book that has changed my perspective on life was handed down to me by recommendation from a friend, family member, coworker, or peer. I just try to keep an open mind and open heart when it comes to books.

I love music; alternative, jazz, blues, indie, rock, pop, electronic, dance, etc. I love being introduced to new music, and especially love going to any kind of show. Whether it be a rather famous artist, a hole-in-the-wall local bar with a local band, or open-mic night, i love them all!
Music is a necessary thing in my every day life.

I pretty much enjoy all movies too. But I do have a soft spot for independent movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many things on a daily basis amaze me. However, after I graduated high school, my best friend and I decided to backpack around Munich and we were very lost on a bus trying to figure out where we were. The bus driver noticed, asked where we needed to go, and then drove us off the bus route and dropped us off exactly where we needed to be. I thank him greatly for that!

Teach, Learn, Share

What I have learned in the last couple years...this is a rather hard question. Perhaps that the future is unpredictable so make the present spectacular and don't worry about things that are out of your control.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Laos, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, United States, Viet Nam
