About Me

I am open-minded world traveler. Moving in and out is essential part of my life. Since I lived in 15 cities during last 6 years, couch became one of my best friends :)

For profession, I have worked as consultant and researcher in Washington, D.C., New York, Tokyo, Geneva and Moscow. Now I teach at university.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My couch is open to those who care about your life and about our world :) Couchsurfing in my view is a great place to meet with those who we are "not supposed to meet" i.e. the people we have no chance of interacting within our normal, busy, daily life.

Interests

Meeting a person is just like a start to read new book; but the special point here is that your own book of life has not been written (yet)and the only way to read it is listening to you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My city was devastated in 2011 by the grand tsunami. There I met an eighty-one-year-old Japanese fisherman mourned tsunami took his wife, his house, and the town where he lived during last eighty-one years. Yet in the end, he told me with such a killing smile, a phrase that I never forget in my life. “Tsunami, you can take anything you want. But you cannot take my smile. And never can you take my hope.”
