About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, learn, enjoy..

ABOUT ME

Inquisitive, empathic, witty, and cheerfull!

I find almost anything to be interesting, so I try to be open and absorb.
Life's for learning, and in my case a little teaching, so that's what occupies most of my time.
One important way to do that is through travel and meeting people, hence my presence here.

PHILOSOPHY

*under construction*

..and likely to remain so.

I try to live a meaningfull life in harmony with my world. That involves both finding out what is 'meaningfull', and creating meaning when I see a way.

Ah, and with philosophy as a discipline, I suppose I can be classified as an agnostic existentialist.
If you wonder what that means, contact me, we'll enjoy a beer and we'll wonder together!

And of course the ultimate goal is finding the holy grail.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just moved to Shenzhen, China, and I thought it might be interesting to host here!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted some, surfed some.

Interests

Many, of which some can be read below, others include books, driving, boxing, movies, good beer, travelling, clubbing, bantering with friends, and books.

About those books, my problem's actually finding almost anything interesting. So I try to be selective, can't read all the books in the world right? Things I devote time to now are classics, history and some existential philosophy.
And I suppose anything else that catches my fancy and isn't too expensive.
I love it when a book suprises me.

Music, Movies, and Books

All of the above please, and lots of them!
Random order, Lord of the Rings, SOAD, A Secular Age, Donny Darko, Tarantino, Natural Born Killers, Atlas Shrugged, Wheel of Time, Coen brothers, Against Method, Arkasia, The Gay Science, Sources of the Self, The Stand, Thoughts, Elfquest, Into the wild, Kubrick, Inception, Lynch, and lots more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving into St Petersburg alone at the break of dawn after a hellish night of driving was quite something!

And sharing a beer with my brothers, perched on the Pont-Du-Gard in the middle of the night was also quite good.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching and learning's my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Fields I have some proficiency in include natural sciences and philosophy, so we could share that. (I don't believe in typical 'teaching' so much)

Aside from that, I could teach you how to throw a good punch or shuffle a deck of cards onehandedly.
I am humbly trying to learn French, and to play bass guitar. If you could teach me a little of that, great!

And let's share books!
