My mission is to discover my self through the world, if i may be so dramatic.

ABOUT ME

I am a free-spirited, 21 year old girl from a nice family. I am very interested to see and experience some of the world. I really think, the more you widen your horizon, the more you gain - in every aspect of your life.

I've got a good sense of humor, so i think. I like art, such as; drawing, painting, writing and creating. I am usually very relaxed and calm but I always try to be spontaneous in my thinking and doing.

My family owns the Horse Center, Saltvík efh. We offer one hour tour up to five days tour around the highlands in north-east of Iceland. This is where I grew up, around horses and tourists, always getting to know new people.

My dream and my goal in life is to be happy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time on Couch Surfing, but I am very excited to experience the wonders of it.

Interests

I am very interested in learning, not only through school but also through experiences and life it self.

I love meeting new people, learning new languages and getting to know new culture.

Acting is a bit of a passion for me. I love to able to become someone absolutely different from who I am. To scream out emotions, even though I am not feeling them at the moment, and just be in character. I have learned so much from acting, even though I have just done some local shows in Húsavík, it's just great.

My special interest is the human mind. How it works, what it likes, how it's different and yet the same from person to person.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a big movie and television fan. My favorite movie is John Q with Denzel Washington in the lead role. My favorite TV show is Dexter. I listen a lot to Timbuktu, Lykke Li, Alt-J, Bob Marley and Florence And The Machine, just to name something. One of my favorite author is Dan Brown. I like reading, even though I'm a very slow reader.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the wonders of Iceland, the mermaid in Denmark, the Alps of Austria, the mountains in Norway, Big Ben and listen to MUSE live in London. I have seen the country side of Northern Germany.

I traveled with my best friend through East Europe. We started in Germany. Went through Poland , Czech Republic and down to Slovakia. From there we crashed in Hungary and Serbia. We slightly gazed through Bulgaria and went on to Turkey. Istanbul is by far my favorite city. We took the train to Greece. Thessaloniki and Athens but missed Istanbul. So we went back. Spent five more wonderful days there. Next mission was Slovenia, Ljubljana. From there we jumped across Germany and lent in Amsterdam. Amazing. We were there on Queens day. Next we visited Belgium and so on to Luxembourg. We stayed in Frankfurt with friends for couple of days. Hitched a ride to Leipzig and from there to Hamburg. Our travel ended in Oslo were we spent the summer working in the harbor. Best summer ever. Summer of 2012.

I don't know how to cook. I would really appreciated if someone would take the time to show me some magic.

I was a gymnastic teacher for several years and I could absolutely give some pointers to those in need. Hehe.

I would be glad to teach you some Icelandic in exchange for your language.
