About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live life, be free, be happy, and never regret anything
ABOUT ME
I'm a young professional (or so they think) living it up in Denver. I love meeting new people and hearing the stories of their travels. I'm big on hospitality, and I do my best to always make everyone feel at home. I'm generally pretty calm and deliberate in my ways. I can be a bit quiet at times, probably to the point of seeming shy, but that's not the case.
I'm crazy about music and will rant on about it endlessly if you let me. I love encountering a fellow fanatic, and I love going out for live shows. I'm also fond of books and movies. In fact, I've had several surfers lose interest in seeing the city once they encounter my movie collection.
I'm big on trust and respect. I do my best to give anyone the courtesy of my respect, and I hope to receive the same from others. I hope to make as many lasting friendships through this site as I can and have as much fun as possible. Some come visit and crash on my couch. I'm looking forward to it.
PHILOSOPHY
Patience is key, and keys often get lost in the couch cushions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted people from all over and plan to continue to do so. I haven't had a lot of opportunities to travel lately, but I plan to use this any time I find myself away from home. If I can go the rest of my life never staying in a hotel again, I'd be perfectly content with that.
I also try and attend as many local events as possible and keep the local community strong. I love that any number of fellow surfers can gather somewhere and there is an instant and lasting bond formed between everyone.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love Couchsurfing!
I was introduced to CS by my friend, and I've been a member for roughly 3 years now. It has been one of the best things I've been involved with. I've met some of the most incredible people through this site and I hope to meet many more. Everyone has a story to tell or something to share. My parents and co-workers don't seem to get it, but that's their loss. I'm proud to be a part of this unique and amazing community.
Interests
Music, Movies, Video Games, Hiking, Drinking, Wasting Time, Chattering, Coffee, Dogs (and cats to a degree), Staring at the sky, Throwing inanimate objects at other inanimate objects, Brewing beer, Pretending to do Colorado activities like snowboard and rock climb
Music, Movies, and Books
I like most everything that has some sort of substance to it.
In general, music is big for me. I listen to music almost non-stop, and I love to talk about whatever music a person likes. Some of my favorite bands include Explosions in the Sky, Sufjan Stevens, Sigur Ros, Cloud Cult, M83, Gillian Welch, Neutral Milk Hotel, and so on in that direction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bonnaroo. Nothing quite like it. Also, this one time I participated in setting one of my friends on fire, but that was more regrettable than amazing. He's fine now.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've got quite a bit of knowledge with computers and networking and such, but I've no plans to fix anyone's computer. If you want an in depth lesson on how internetwork routing works or something like that, I suppose I can help.
I'm also a bit of a library of strange new music, and I'm always happy to share what I have and find something new.
