ABOUT ME

WE ARE CANADIAN!!! We are NOT London locals. If you are looking for local life and London life... we might not be the hosts for you. We are just learning ourselves, at a very slow pace... You will know more than us within a very short time here.
With that said...

I have been married to my soul-mate, Alan, for the past 13 years. We've grown up together during that time and continually teach each other new things. I am a midwife and he is a director for a large communications company (you probably know the company). We are very connected to our extended family and almost everything we do includes them in some way or another. We have recently added to our family, a baby boy named Eamonn, in January 2012 and, Maisie, a baby girl in January 2013. They have been and shall continue to be, a great adventure. We are enjoying every part of them. (All of the older little girl photos you see here, are our beautiful and much-loved nieces.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now we host. I enjoy having people from all over the world come and hang and share their life experiences. I also enjoy feeding people so it works well for me to have extra people in the house to experiment on. ;-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been participating with Couchsurfing for a while now and whole-heartedly recommend it to others!
We've had great experiences both as hosts and surfers. I am so very glad that this kind of thing is available.

Interests

I enjoy discussions on controversial topics - but please don't pick politics - I simply can't keep up!
I no longer have a motorbike but still feel that the best way to experience a great ride is on the back of my husband's bike.
I am interested in Simplicity and Sustainable Living.
I also love cooking and cook often. Rarely do we eat out. When you are sending a request please let me know if you are Vegan, Vegetarian, Pescetarian, an Omnivore, Halal or Kosher. This way I will know that you read my profile. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I actually think that this is a terrible way to see if we are people that you will connect with. We have a multitude of books both on our shelves and on our kindles and not one of them is like the other. When something strikes our fancy... we read it.

The kinds of movies that I enjoy also tells you nothing about me other than I enjoy mindlessly checking out of my own life for a couple of hours and into someone elses most unlikely life... every once in a while.

I will however, tell you that we do not currently have a television and we have no intention to get one. I grew up without one and I have never signed up for cable in my life... and I never will.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have watched and participated in many births but my favorite is when the mama or the daddy 'catch' their own babies. Daddies strike the "Lion King" pose and mamas laugh and cry at the same time. It makes my heart sing every single time.
