About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Our mission is to travel the world, eat great food, meet wonderful people, do amazing things, and see beautiful places!
ABOUT ME
We are an adventurous 26 year old married couple from Toronto, Canada. We are both laid back, enjoy good conversation over coffee/beer and are interested in learning from people around the globe. We are backpacking for the next year with the intention of living basically and to experience and learn from different cultures and environments. We are currently in India and loving every moment of it! Look forward to staying in India until March 2013.
PHILOSOPHY
To live each day with an open mind about the world. To never have a closed mind about anything, and to enjoy every experience for what it is, good or bad. Be happy!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We've been hosted and met up with couch surfers many times across Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines, and India and have had nothing but positive experiences! We are mainly being hosted now, and meeting up with fellow travelers, but look forward to hosting when we are back in Toronto in 2013!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The experience for us is all about meeting new people, and seeing places from a different perspective than the normal tourist. Living in Cambodia made us appreciate more of a cultural experience, rather than the typical tourist experience. We want to truly experience a day in the life through the eyes of a local. So far, so good! Have had great experiences in Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines and India so far!
Interests
We really are interested in so many things, and discovering new interests every day. Caving, mountaineering, scuba diving, yoga, meditation, books, music, movies, economics, science, spirituality, to name a few! The list is endless!

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything philosophical, or something that really makes us think.
Music: Love all genres, but the Rainforest World Music Festival in Borneo really opened our eyes to new genres from around the globe!
Movies: Lots! Favorite director is Wes Anderson and Tim Burton, but love so many movies! Wouldn't be fair to name a few!
Books: Really started to read more books since traveling and getting a Kindle. Latest books have been Shantaram and A Fine Balance. Also love books on philosophy and spirituality.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Have seen and done many amazing things in our lives, but over the past 11 months the list includes living in Cambodia for 6 months, caving and mountaineering in Borneo, scuba diving in Borneo and Philippines, Vaishno Devi and Golden Temple in India! Most importantly, meeting people from around the globe!
