About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Connect with people and see different places

ABOUT ME

Lived in Maine, New Mexico, North Carolia, New York City, London, Spain.

I love learning and teaching, listening and talking, a good cup of coffee or pint at the pub, traveling, music, movies, reading, red sox (I'm trying to cut back)

I'm a golf pro, its great, very time demanding but just great. I do like having my offseason to do something new that might scare the crap out of me.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything happens for a reason, the universe is always trying to teach you something, I'm just trying to pay attention. Everyone is my teacher.

If more people participated in stuff like this I think the world would be a much, much better place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My work is seasonal, so I'm pretty Nomadic during the winter. I like to try new things in new places (usually outdoors). I love meeting new people and whenever I'm not too busy (usually spring and fall) I'd love to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Traveled Europe doing the hostel thing. Great way to meet interesting people. Met a friend online and stayed with her in Spain, and she'll be coming out here in the summer.

First time I ever hosted was just randomly meeting a guy who was hiking the Appalachian Trail. He was in a wierd situation staying with his ex-girlfriends folks and I could tell he wasn't digin the situation, so I insisted he stay with me. Turned out to be a really fun guy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Finding Neverland, Fight Club, Lucky Number Slevin, Harry Potter, The Case for Christ, Divinci Code, Godfather, Dylan, Dead, Beatles, Floyd, Ben Harper, Ray LaMontagne, Really anything that catches my ear and touches my soul.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

went down the Rio Grande in a canoe (80 miles and no people for hundreds of miles), played Golf in professional tours in Florida (and got my ass handed to me), studied abroad in London and traveled all over.

This winter I've traveled around the southwest, lived in spain for a month now back to Florida for another shot at the tour.

I want to do an iron man event. I'm a serious cyclist but the running and swimming are going to be tough.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a wonderful family. My mother's family is huge (Irish Catholic), and my father's family is absolutely amazing (Grandparents were first established chinese family in the state of Maine).

Parents still live in the same house in Maine that I grew up in. I have one brother who is working at Harvard doing some biology research (Wicked Smaht)

I'm a jack of all trades. I've done social works in one of the worst areas of The Bronx, to where I am currently a golf pro in one of the most affluent areas I could possibly imagine.

I've traveled a bit. I've been lucky and unlucky in love, whichever way you want to look at it (I'm a glass half full type of guy)

I love the Red Sox so much its borderline obsessive, I've been trying to cut back but its hard, I can't find a support group for this and I can't seem to do it on my own
