ABOUT ME

Oof that's a tough one, as my brother from another mother would say, "you go through friends like most people go through socks". I am incredibly hard working and driven, some would say to a fault. Most definitely to the exclusion of all but a few very close friendships. Which isn't to say that I'm not friendly, but my life isn't prioritized around the PEOPLE in my life, so unfortunately I don't have a very fair assessment of how people view me.

I am walking from Boston, MA to Washington, DC and blogging the whole way down. I am carrying with me a letter to congress posing the question "why is the suffering of others, so that we may live as we do, systemic?" with a call to action to take a long view on our responsibilities as citizens, and our leadership to us.

Independent art is my life. I am dedicated to promoting and marketing cottage industry and local independent music. My secondary goal is to teach people how to do the same using SEO and social media in conjunction with one another. For my own head, I dig drawing, writing, and on occasion (very rare occasion) I will sing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't really nail it down to "moments" I dig places that remind me to be awestruck. I forget sometimes, that I'm a child that I have a lot to learn, and as hard as it is sometimes, I have to continue to learn. So here's a couple of places that remind me what it's like to stare at the world in childlike wonder, and to remember to learn, to always take something away from the situation.

The Columbia River gorge. Standing on the edge of a chasm, staring down into a rift in the earth, it's good for the soul. There are many such places in Oregon, Hellsgate, etc, but the CRG is definitely my favorite.

The JFK bridge that spans the Charles River off of Western Ave. to Memorial outside of Harvard Sq. It's one of the few places near Allston/ Brighton where you can catch a clean breeze off the bay without the crowds. It's a good spot to think, standing over what used to be called the "king's river" it's a good reminder of why it is I do what I do.

That moment when you're watching "Constantine" for the hundredth time and you finally get a glimpse of the as yet unseen depths of Keanu Reeves' acting ability.
