About Me
Greetings! I’m usually between either my Phoenix, Arizona or Washington, DC home.
Wherever I’m at, I’m happy to meet up throughout the metro area for coffee, meals, outdoor fun, giving tours, showing unique places, and spontaneous adventure! My house currently doesn’t accommodate visitors - apologies!
I work in global education, global development, and social impact entrepreneurship. I have worked, lived, and exchanged with people from over 100 countries...this gives me life! I am active in culture, dance, food, spiritual elevation, and arts scenes as well as outdoors, community service, and natural living, wherever I go in the world.
I love being home in Arizona for the real Mexican food, immense sunshine, beautiful desert views and hiking, abundant Mexican, indigenous, and southwestern culture, and lots of love from people and in DC I love the global and national diversity, the impactful and historical institutions, global cuisine, endless exploration opportunities, and the variety of flowers that bloom almost year round ....as well as being an ambassador to visitors from around the world in either place.
I have been hosted by many wonderful CS hosts and look forward to paying it forward while home! I don’t care about your nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation, etc. I just care about your soul. 💛

CURRENT MISSION
Keeping the bigger picture in mind....loving life and living it to the fullest....all why aging gracefully, being crazy and having fun, and loving the world around us while breaking down barriers and bringing people together!
ABOUT ME
I'm a globetrotter and an inner-city girl from Phoenix, very internationally and multiculturally minded, open to this life and the world, out to bring us together and have fun doing it!
I love anything to do with nature, environmental sustainability, holistic wellbeing, traditional healing methods, cooking global vegan cuisine, dancing, performance, traveling, cultural immersion, cross-cultural understanding, interfaith, art, teaching, community engagement, and new adventures. When I'm not working or mobilizing, you can catch me with loved ones, on the dance floor, performing with world musicians, at a farmers market, barefoot in nature, meditating, working out, doing random acts of kindness, eating lots of guacamole, watching a hilarious or enlightening show, or talking to random strangers...somewhere in the world.
Although I’m half Mexican-American and half European-American and Native American/indigenous, all my Arab friends also consider me very Arab given my immense immersion with the diaspora. But people who really know me know that I fit in with any group very well. I have many nicknames, including “global ambassador of goodwill”. I have many more layers of identity and experience to share with you. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I absolutely love to experience and learn about others, connect with the world and bring folks together while living it up. Started CSing I think back in 2009. Couchsurfing has allowed me to do this more than any other way! Our CS experiences strengthen trust within humanity.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Okay...couldn’t choose just one...
>> Worked with over 5,000 people from over 100 countries in the last 10 years.
>> Organized and performed live at the same time one magical night with Jews, Muslims, atheists, Christians, etc. from several countries at a musical jam session in DC.
>> Backpacked 64 kilometers / 40 miles in four days through the historic Appalachian Trail in the eastern US with 40 other people in a wedding party, ending one day before the wedding ceremony.
>> Upon a quick evacuation from Kazakhstan in March 2020, arrived to Dubai, UAE and quarantined for three weeks on my friends' family farm in the middle of the desert. It was traditional floor seating, eating, and computer work...taking breaks from Zoom meetings with colleagues around the world by going outside to help pick veggies and dates or feed the baby goats, cows, ostriches, horses...washing my clothes by hand...and only have a few Bangladeshi brothers around to share COVID stories with!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: vegan lifestyle, lots of dishes from around the world, various dances (Arab folk dances, various Mexican and Latin American dances, street hip-hop, etc.), English and Spanish, some Arabic, Russian, and Kazakh, yoga, herbal medicine and natural healing, meditation, many cultures, social justice and equity, all about the Phoenix metropolitan and DC metro areas, as well as anywhere I’ve lived and travelled!
Learn: I want to learn everything! I want to learn about you and where you come from and what you know that I don’t know! I’m 2023, I’m looking to learn roller skating, acroyoga, and some hand percussion instruments!!!
