About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of the world as time allows and before I become a pauper!
ABOUT ME
Always a happy and a joyful person. I can be pretty quiet at times with strangers but once I open up, I can be a pleasure to be with and witty too. Makes people laugh and like to laugh myself silly!
Love travelling and always on the lookout for a partner to travel. I became a diabetic in 2013 and have to be very careful with what I put into my mouth!!
PHILOSOPHY
"Love and enjoy life to the fullest''. ''I am afraid of people who are nice to me but if you are bad to me, you will get hell''. I am not afraid to give people a 'mouthful' if they step on my toes and step out of line!
''When in Rome, do as the Romans do''. I believe in ''Give & Take'', and "What you Give, you will Receive Manifolds''. I will give references ''Without Fear or Favor'' and will always ''Tell the Truth, The Whole Truth, Nothing But The Truth, so help me God!''
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been informed about CS Org. some time ago but did not join for fear of being taken advantage of and dislike freeloaders! I became a member in 2012 as I was travelling with a CSer to UK.
I work part-time therefore have lots of time on my hands to do what I love most ...... travelling and exploring countries that take my fancy.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My husband Charles is a member of an International Service Org. and as such, we have hosted many people coming from all over the world in our humble home since 1980's. The longest we hosted was a Japanese student exchange for 3 months. My first surfing experience with CS was when I went to the UK in April 2012. It has been a very fantastic experience staying with many CSers, eating their local and ethnic food, sleeping on floors, sofas and even having a room to myself. The short time spent with them was memorable and I learnt a lot including weighing rice for each person to be cooked.
Interests
Doing volunteer community service work for the poor, under-priviledged, less fortunate and physically challenged people. As and when I can afford, I will do charity work and donate to worthy causes.
Emailing and exchanging views on travelling; involved in drama plays and enjoying life to the fullest by visiting and travelling to places ''that is off the beaten track'' to as many countries as I can possibly go.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to the ''Oldies'' and songs that have sentimental meanings. Occassionaly, I would listen to ''Rock and Rolls''. I like reading inspirational books and into ''Fong Shui''.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. Nearly died of fright while flying in a Cessna plane around the Grand Canyons in the US in 1987.
2. Climbing the highest mountain in S. E. Asia ie, Mt. Kinabalu 4 times:- in 1984, 1986, 1989, 1991 and
surviving a huge thunderstorm up in the mountain.
3. Travelling to Kashmir and being escorted and protected by the Kashmir police all the way while sight-
seeing because of their war.
4. Climbing two mountains in China recently: the Lushan and Huangshan mountain in November 2011!
I lost 5 kilos travelling for 18 days around this area.
5. Dolphin chasing on Bali Island in 2010.
6. Learning how to ski on Mt. Sorak in Korea in below minus degrees - Dec 2012.
7. Followed my friends to Cuba in 2017 on a photography mission...... doing nothing but snap, snap, snap
everyday for 2 weeks!
8. Rode on a donkey on a very steep slope while touring in Greece in 2017 which was scary and heart
stopping as there was no handler to guide the donkey ...!
9. Tried smoking weed in Amsterdam which is legally sold in ''coffee-shops''.
10. Travelling on the Ocean Liner, the Norwegian Jewel for a week in Alaska, America in July 2018.
Teach, Learn, Share
Friends have called me up to seek advice on travelling to certain places. Well, being a somewhat well heeled traveller, I am able to give my advice and opinion.
I can share and teach how to cook a favourite Malaysian dish or two.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Though I am not a qualified teacher, I can teach English when I am approached.
I can also give advice on traveling to the countries and places I have been.
I am also a "Jill of All Trades but Mistress of none!"
I can cook a few delicious Malaysian dishes...
