Hi!

I'm an ocean loving, adventure seeking, eight years wandering traveler. My three favorite things are SCUBA, taking care of people and the olive at the bottom of a gin martini in no specific order and certainly not at the same time.

When I travel I usually stay for a while and learn about the culture and people of the place I’m staying. I enjoy humanitarian projects. I’ve just left Antigua, Guatemala where I was working as a nurse at a clinic for malnourished infants. It was really rewarding and made me feel like I was part of a community.

Two of my best experiences traveling were renting a room from a Muslim family while working on Flores and living with a Hindu family on Bali. While I value meeting other backpackers I find its harder to know the culture from a dorm room.

Intereses

Happy people, SCUBA, BBQ's, dancing, sailing, salsa dancing and most sports that involve a ball. I’m also really into fitness so you will usually find me in the garden working out in the morning.

I taught a boat boy who worked on the dive boat I did in Indonesia to swim and then dive. He'd been working on the ocean his whole life and never got under. His smile and him shouting Saya Diver, Saya Diver I'll never forget.
