Hello! I'm Katrina (Kat) I'm a freshly graduated geology and environmental earth scientists, currently taking a 6 month backpacking trip before (maybe) settling down (probably not). I love doing everything related to nature, mainly hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and biking. Oh also, it says I've been a member since 2011, but I've never actually tried using it until now!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because as I get older, the hostel party lifestyle has begun to lose its appeal. Sharing a room with 20 ppl constantly coming in drunk every night is not always the most ideal way to travel, but unfortunately often the cheapest. This offers a great way to still meet people around the world, stay somewhere cheap, and get a good nights rest.

Also, as for Canada where I live. My home city definitely does not have hostels (as many cities in Canada do not.) And It's sad that people would have to skip over visiting a great part of Canada due to lack of affordable places to stay.
