ABOUT ME

I'm in my early 20s and I work for a newspaper based in Hong Kong, for which I travel about 10-11 months out of the year. Every 3-4 months I'm based in a different country or region. I'm pretty laid back and I have a sarcastic sense of humor.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a fair bit and host when I can! I'm always happy to show someone around and visit with travellers but for 90% of the year I am in cities that are relatively new to me too. That means that if you want to meet up with me, we'll be exploring the city together. I might have a few recommendations but I'm not a true local. As long as you don't need a seasoned travel guide or insider tips, I'm always glad to check out a new museum, find some live music or just trade travel stories over beer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love Couchsurfing and meeting new people! I try to meet up with couch surfers whenever I'm in a new city. CS events are one of the my first priorities whenever I'm in a new place to get to know the area and some interesting people. I've met some amazing people through CS.

兴趣

I like to travel, run, read, and go to as many live concerts as my budget will allow. I'm also a huge history nerd and a beer enthusiast. Hiking, skiing, and generally being outdoors is also great.

My music taste really runs the gamut, mostly indie, alternative rock, reggae, folk, bluegrass, cumbia, post rock, shoegaze, experimental, funk, opera...(I have serious soft spot for any music with a brass section). Always looking for new recommendations.

My tastes in books are pretty eclectic but magic realism, historical fiction, satire, memoirs, and essays make up most of my reading.
