About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore, Take Chances & Live a "No Regrets" life
ABOUT ME
Married for the last 25+ years to my wonderful German wife. I have two incredible sons. My roots are from a small town in Montana and I will forever possess a fondness for the crisp clean air of the mountains. I have been around the world with the Army and eventually moved to Omaha Nebraska to be closer to family. 20+ years later, my kids are off to college (Often dropping in back home) and I'm yearning to get back to the mountain states.
I believe in God, I believe in the possibility of life beyond our planet as well as the possibility that the paranormal isn't a bunch of hooey.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life to the fullest. Never give yourself the opportunity to look back and say I wish I had done that. Take chances. Keep honesty in your heart always. Be true to yourself. Live your life to impress YOU, not everyone else. Be the main character in your own story and tell your story with as much flare and flamboyance as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can offer my basement level with separate bathroom/shower and laundry access. The hard part if having the time available to allow me to host. When I can host, I'm a decent cook and will grill in any kind of weather. I also don't mind company at my favorite Micro-Breweries. I've got stories to share and look forward to hearing yours.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've not couch surfed yet but have hosted and met some incredible travelers. I am looking for my first Couch Surfing opportunity in June 2015 when I head to Missouri for the Big BAM bike event. I'm very much looking forward to meeting some incredible people and having an all around good time.
Interests
I am interested in anything outdoors. Nature and animals hold a permanent residence in my heart. I love Photography and find I am often happiest behind the lens. I also love bike riding with a particularly interest in mountain biking although due to some challenging from friends I am now the proud owner of a Motobecane road bike and looking forward to a number of cycling event both in Nebraska and out of the state. I'll be couch surfing hopefully during those events.
Photography is my drug of choice, it relaxes me, shows me the beauty the world around me has to offer and frustrates me in a good way.
My second goto drug is cycling. Having always been an avid mountain biker, I have recently fallen in love with the way of the road bike. Biking is a terrific way to meet some really awesome people and to see the world from a much closer level.
I also drive for the ride sharing service Lyft. It offers me a chance to meet people from endless backgrounds with incredible stories to tell.
For my benefits job I am a Field Supervisor with Directv.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I enjoy a break from daily reality so anything fantasy. Lord of the Rings, Season of the Spellsong, The Amber Chronicles etc etc etc...
Movies: Big Fish, Old Rex Harrison movies, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, Rundown, and don't laugh...I love watching Tangled with my Grand Daughter.
Music: Lenny Kravits, Billy Idol, Halestorm, BonJovi, Pavarotti, and a local band Blue Moon Ghetto. ( bit of an odd mix but it works for me )
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Yellowstone National Park is by far one of the most magnificent places i have ever seen. I have recently had the opportunity and took it, although not too wisely, to chase a grizzly bear into the woods until I lost him. Gotta say it was kinda exhilarating.
I travel and camp there every other year and hope to move to the area in the not too distant future.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe in the good in people and try to live by a rule of give a smile/get a smile from everyone you meet every day.
I also believe in the power of the earth and the life force in nature.
I want to learn more about the world I live in and the people I cross paths with.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have traveled to Central America, Europe, and been to a number of places around the US. I have stories to share. If I'm staying with you and you have the good I sure don't mind cooking. And if I have my gear. Expect some free family photographs.
