ABOUT ME

I bought land on the Big Island in Puna, Hawaii and built a little eco studio cabin with a loft. This is my home base! I love to travel. My last big trip was to New Zealand and Australia. My Hawaiian name is Puakealahilahiokawaonahele (given to me by a Hawaiian composer/kahu). I usually go by Kea, Kealahi, or Lahi.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Love it, love it, love it. I've hosted more than I've surfed but thereʻs still time!

One of my best times hosting was with a young woman from Alaska who ended up staying for two weeks. We became instant buddies and had lots of great adventures.

One of my best times surfing was when I took my mom and we stayed with a couple in Vlissingen, Netherlands who lent us their bicycles and all the gear to do a five-day road trip!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Awestruck by the scenery hiking in the Grand Tetons of Wyoming, along the Na Pali coast in Kauai, and along the Inca Trail in the Andes. As for manmade beauty, I was awestruck by the Taj Mahal.
