ABOUT ME

I've been living on the big island of Hawai'i for the past few years. I swim, I paddle, I dig in the dirt, I plant seeds, I eat fruit. Since January 2012 I've been traveling with my favorite person in the entire world. My hope to gain as much perspective as possible on this planet we are on, and this wild species we belong to. I'm now following this path of yoga, see how far the rabbit hole goes...

PHILOSOPHY

I choose to live life deliberately, with thought and intention. Attributes I believe are important are personal responsibility, integrity, grace, acceptance.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm trying to travel as sustainably as possible, by staying with locals, saving money, and avoiding detrimental tourism. Integrating with the communities I visit is the goal. Hopefully, I can share some interesting insights about American culture, and globalization of western culture. I'm excited about hosting in Hawaii when I return home. Right now I'm settled in southern India, and hope to pay forward all the kindness that has been shown to me while I was traveling.

I can teach the primary series of ashtanga vinyasa yoga. I can make an excellent pizza dough and sauce. I can brew kombucha, make sauerkraut and kim chi, make yogurt, cheese, milk a goat or sheep, sow lettuce seeds, make Indian chappatis and curries, braid a fishtail braid, and... what else? I might know a couple other things.
