ABOUT ME

Hi Couch Surfers!
Yo soy la gringa tica. I grew up in California but always had a strong love for the place my mother's family was from: Costa Rica. I love learning about how mixed we all are and how our stories are not limited by borders and states.

I'm an adventerous passionate human being just like most of the people drawn to this site. I'm very passionate about learning whether it's talking to a friend about something or reading a 400 page book. I studied abroad in Spain in College, finished my studies in California, and then did an internship at the OAS in Washington DC. I was working at a green energy company in the bay area; I love that I work in an industry where I help to make the world a better place. I quit that gig, moved to Costa Rica and got a masters in sustainable development. I chose the university because it has students from over 50 different countries and gave me such a refreshing view on life.

When I'm not at my job I'm at the gym rock climbing or volunteering (teaching English). Hope to catch you around!

I've couch surfed in Europe and I love meeting CS. Awesome people :D I haven't been very active in the past year, but that is definitely something that I'd like to change!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing is amazing! Miguel you will always be in my heart for being my first host. What an amazing guy. Frog! I've been recently introduced to it, but I have had nothing but positive experiences!

兴趣

I double majored in History and in International Relations. I've always studied contemporary European History but I switched in my last year to Latin American history! I love drawing and spending time in the sun. I'm also interested in sustainable development and making the world a better places!
