Hi! My name is Keegan (Киган/키건/ქიგენ/Κίγαν/كيگان in case that helps), I’m from California but plan to be traveling for the foreseeable future. There’s too much world for me to be staying at home, at least at this point in my life.

I’m all about trying new things...I’ve spent the better part of the last 6 months hitchhiking around Russia and the Caucasus and find I have a lot more fun when I throw myself into the unexpected (although I’ve gotten in trouble once or twice that way). I’ll eat basically anything you put in front of me...I’ve eaten chicken hearts, pig feet, assorted bugs, some sea urchins sold to me by crab poachers in Murmansk and all manner of mystery plants and fruits. Don’t ask me for restaurant recommendations though, left to myself I’m pretty cheap and can get by on eggs and salt porridge more or less indefinitely.

I’m usually a bit quiet and formal at first but after a bit of time I become less boring and a lot more talkative than I think I am. I can spend days traveling and walking alone and still be happy and contented but that isn’t to say I don’t love the company of people too.

I love history and language and if you speak a language I don’t know, especially an isolate or fairly obscure one, I will definitely ask you to teach me to count to ten in it. I apologize in advance if global politics come up too, but I guess it was my area of study for a reason :p

Anyway I don’t want to ramble any more, best we chat in person and get to know each other the right way. Look forward to hearing from you~
