Overview
About Me
Australian born and bred. My friends would describe me as easygoing, kind and considerate. I would say I'm an energetic, active guy who's always keen to get outside, explore and see what the world has to offer. Basically, anything with good company and conversation has me happy. I have a fairly dry, goofy sense of humour and love making fun of myself.
Back home I work full-time in a job I love as an Occupational Therapist. My attitude towards work and life has always been "I don't live to work, I work to live". By this, I mean prioritizing experiences over working long hours. It means maximizing any opportunity to share a laugh or have a day of adventure with family and friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After completing 2 uni degrees, I'm keen to travel as much as possible. I'm looking forward to making new friends, and experiencing new sights and cultures. I believe couch surfing can provide me with the opportunity to "do as the locals do" and hear some great stories and travel tips along the way. My plan is to couchsurf my way across Europe... and then hopefully the world!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While I don't have too many travel experiences (hopefully you guys can help me out with that!), I would say that the "one amazing thing I've done" would be completing my 2 degrees. Along the way, I've made some lifelong friends, and it's given me the opportunity to work a job I love helping people live the life they want.
One more I'll add: Somehow surviving after getting seriously lost hiking up a mountain in Australia. I ran out of water, ran out of food, my shoes fell apart and I had to battle a severe Aussie thunderstorm all while attempting to navigate myself back down a steep mountain to my car.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to play Aussie Rules football - how to kick a drop punt? (Aussie Rules is not like Gaelic football, not like rugby but a mix of both.)
If you ever want some advice about uni or are unsure about what to do with your life/need some direction, then please ask! More than happy to have a chat and help out. It took me a long time to figure out what I want to do in life so I'm completely empathetic to others in a similar situation. Working both as a Teacher and Occupational Therapist has provided me a ton of different experiences working with others from all walks of life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
