Visit all 7 continents before I'm 30. (Running out of time, people!)

Went to Europe from Aug-Oct 2013 to enjoy what life has to offer and for some much needed self-discovery. Grateful to have found employment and starting another Eurotrip in Oct 2015!

ABOUT ME

Without sound like a speed dating service or obituary, I love learning about cultures. Also big fan of geography, international relations, and public health. Throw it in altogether, and we can have endless conversations.

I enjoy cooking and eating foods of all types. I enjoy watching sports and playing them. Also, singing badly.

Most importantly, I love to laugh and learn more about people. Traveling is the best way to accomplish that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because I am in between locations (my work requires me to travel), I will post my couch once I'm settled and ready. Former hosts will always have a place to stay unless circumstances warrant otherwise. I apologize as I would love to people to surf on my couch, but I am always available for meet-ups and such!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Made a first Couchsurfing booking with KENTISBEAR with Wales, and it just cemented my impressions of what Couchsurfing community embodies.

On a different note, I was hosted by a Swiss mother and her daughter, and she asked me to join her in a day trip to Lucerne from Zurich. It was quite an experience getting to see the countryside, and I would not have imagined doing anything else if it wasn't for the kindness of people.

Hoping for more opportunities in my CS experiences! Be a part of it! :)

Interests

Love Actually. Dumb and Dumber. Tommy Boy.

Enjoy most music, but I like Jamiroquai, Daft Punk, Bastille, Matt & Kim. I also love 80s and 90s = best music to dance! Also, a soft spot for slow jamz aka R&B.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far, seeing Mont Blanc from Chamonix. Figuratively and literally breathtaking.

I also loved touring Ring of Kerry with a good friend of mine. We got in his car and drove for three days around Ireland. Let's just say I'm glad we went counterclockwise, those cliffs were very steep and narrow!

Oh, and probably crowdsurfing at the age of 27! I just jumped in and followed where the hands took me! Made it to the front!

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe in the power of conversation, not argument. I love to learn other people's perspectives to enhance mine. You can't learn what it's like living in another country by the internet or Skype, you have to experience firsthand. Plus, good times always make for good memories.

Also, I think the best way to see the city is by yourself. Sometimes even wandering around aimlessly, you find more about yourself. My favorite places to visit when I go to somewhere new are any scenic overviews. I love seeing places from up high and nature.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My utmost respect, attention, and any kind of conversation. I was told that after kissing the Blarney Stone, I didn't need the gift of gab. :)
