About Me
Hello There,
Nice to know that you are interested to know something about me.
I am from India. I came to Netherlands for my master’s in 2015. Following this, I did my PhD and currently work as an Assistant Professor in the Netherlands, where I explore my interest in teaching and research.
I like to discuss a lot about a variety of stuffs, including culture, psychology, traveling adventures... I also like to cook together while exchanging recepie ideas. The dish that I can cook best (that I consider to be so 🙂 ) is Grean Peas + Cheese Masala, which is to be eaten with Roti (simillar to Tortilla). On weekends I like to cycle and visit places that are 30 to 60 km one way. The longest cycling route that I took so far was from Delft to Utrecht. Other than this, I tried ice skating after coming to Netherlands and I liked it a lot. So whenever I get a chance, I go for it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe it is the people that makes a place special and beautiful. So whenever I visit new places, I want to meetup and stay with the locals so that I can have a better connection to the place, rather than staying in a standard hotel room and having courtesy conversation with the staffs there.
Interests
- cycling
- vegetarian cooking
Music, Movies, and Books
Like listening to soft and melodious music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I tried Sky Jumping from a 1000 feet building in 2013. Even now, I could recall the intensity of fear I had just my instructor asked me to jump, and as well as the moment that I overcame my fear and went on to jump.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to talk about stuffs in general, about the culture I was brought up in, and how it influences the perspectives I have, while at the same time being interested to learn others perspectives as well. I like to cook together vegetarian dishes, during which I can share what I know and could learn a few from the host.
