About Me

Hey!

Im 23 years old, lived in Denmark for a the largest part of my life. Nonetheless I've been moving around quite a lot, lived in Costa Rica, Belgium and the US. I started my education in danish, but have for the last 5 years moved into international educations. I know work as a photographer and bartender in Denmark, but will soon move too Aarhus to expand my horizon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main reason I prefer Couchsurfing over Airbnb or alike ways to stay in cities, is that it's based on volunteering. By extension this means that the people I will be staying with, or hosting, are people who are genuinely interested in meeting me, and spending time with me.

To say it in a one-liner: I feel I submerge more where I am when out travelling, and introduced to new cultures when I'm at home!

Interests

I like traveling, obviously, I bet no one see that coming ;) Besides traveling, I'm drawn to the arts in terms of street art, and photography.
I also enjoy thinking, when reading this I can only imagine you trying reread in order to make sure that it I actually wrote thinking. But let me try and explain, I enjoy getting out experiencing new things and than try to think them over and trying to figure out why they are as they are. This I would typically do with music in my ears, and some place where I can see miles out.
Now having mentioned music, I'd like to add that listening to music is one of those things that I'm by far the most passionate about. Ever since I was young I've done nothing but spend all my allowance on first CDs and than later concerts. Hence my desperate need to couch surf, I have a too expensive hoppy on the side.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music... hmm. Well for me music is very situational, or at least that is true in most cases. For instance, I enjoy listening to Lou Reed "walk on the wildside" when I'm on a bus, or train with my headphones on. Than again I at times I like electro music, when I'm with friends preparing to party. Than again when we're just staying in, some smoothing jazz or blues would do just the trick. And when I'm sitting in a car, regardless of me driving it, it has to be radio. More often than not I've heard that particular song that will be played a million times before, which allows me to think 'oh God not this track again' and therefore be much more engaging in conversations held in the car. And for books and movies, well I guess you'll just have to meet me ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Obviously I would like to say that the most amazing thing that I have done is climb a really tall mountain, travel to space or participated in the olympics. But that has yet not been something I have experienced, nonetheless I would think it would be absolutely awesome if it was to happen! I feel I've been lucky in the recent years and have been allowed to travel beyond what I could imagine! To me the most amazing thing I've done is driving through Central and South America with my dad on each our motorbike.

Teach, Learn, Share

What do I want to learn, teach and share? This I have to admit that is probably the hardest part of this essay to answer. I can teach someone to swim and free dive, I am fully aware that such teaching are very situational based on location but you never know ;) I can teach you everything from danish danishes to gives tips and tricks with photography and the editing of it, and I have a solid knowledge about beer! What I can share are pictures, memories, and card games.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my company, what I have in my backpack, and what I gain as time passes. Besides I don't mind helping out around the house, not entirely sure that this is appropriate to add ;)
