ABOUT ME

My name is Kees, I will be a Bedouin in the desert one day. Or a monk, somewhere in India, carrying rocks on my head. Maybe Scandinavia is the right place for me, traveling there with a canoe. I haven't been there yet. My journey has just begun. I started in Amsterdam with my bicycle, cycled to Portugal and met beautiful people. A lot is happening. Things I didn't plan. Sometimes little dreams I didn't even really believed in come true. I try to change my life, conquer my own mind. I love to cook.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be amazed how very kind people can be. I haven't couchsurfed much yet, but that was my experience when I did.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classical music and jazz. Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Moondog, Arvo Pärt. A while ago I discovered ethnic minority music from Northeast Vietnam. It's so different you really don't know what to do with it, how to feel when listening to it. I loved it.
