About Me

I try to take a note from Camus and “live to the point of tears.”

I believe it’s not the places that are magical, so much as the people you get to experience them with. My late mother taught me to collect experiences, so I’ve made it my vow in life to honor her by experiencing all that I can during my time on this planet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been hosted by some of the loveliest souls on earth, and I try to give back by hosting when I can...I believe couchsurfing can change the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

"Sometimes I can hear my bones straining under the weight of all the lives I'm not living." Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crashed a party on the eve of Halloween at a pub in Drumnadrochit, Scotland (overlooking Loch Ness) with two Frenchmen and three American girls. We even ended up becoming the DJ for the night.

Spent six days in Zabuze, Poland near the Belarus border volunteering at a language immersion program. I met people from all over the world, and learned to trust my travel heart as it leads me to the next venture, however seemingly small it may be...

Fell in love with a Frenchman in a Dublin pub who held my face in the palm of his hands as he spoke the healing words that have kept me even years later, "I hope life gives you what you need." I was twenty and heartbroken.

Traveling with my best friend as we toured the ancient ruins of Rome, spent Christmas in Poland with a Polish family, woke up on NYE in Paris, and drove cross-country starting in Seattle back to the east coast. I advise traveling with a kindred spirit, it's good for the soul.

Moved to South Korea, met my person and married him. This one amazing thing has given me an adventure that never ends. This is by far the best thing I've done because I get to live it everyday...

Teach, Learn, Share

Someone once told me, "When you travel, you become a storyteller." I have found this to be true. I would love to exchange stories of travels/tips and advice. I can also help with English.
