Overview
About Me
When I was little I thought I'd be chasing whales but now I study invertebrates (which has proven to be equally rewarding). Done some travelling but not enough. Would far rather rough it and make new friends while travelling because that's a more genuine experience.
Love outdoor sports, the ocean, wildlife, and connecting with other humans. Decent conversation guaranteed, excellent conversation on a good day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling in a new place where the language and customs are unfamiliar can be a vulnerable experience; I think opening yourself up to a stranger from elsewhere whether it be welcoming them into your home or just having a friendly conversation is the most generous and rewarding thing one can do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Held a ratfish (see profile pic above). Ratfish are an ancient lineage within Chondrichthyes.
Also took the Greyhound across Canada non-stop (7-days non-stop no showers minimal sleep because I can't sleep in vehicles :$).

Thoughtful conversation, a crash course in Marine Biology, help with chores, and as many kick-ass baked goods as you want.
