About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finding my place and giving back: combining arts and community work to create empowerment
ABOUT ME
Aloha! Thanks for taking the time to read about me :) It can be hard to talk about oneself, let me give it a try: I am a photographer and filmmaker that loves to travel and learn about different cultures, guess we all do here, right ;)? I like combining community work & arts, and I'm looking forward to do this in my next journeys... I see art as a tool to transform not only ourselves but also the place where we live.
I am looking forward to learning and growing by meeting new people and sharing our different experiences. Hope to find you in my next path!
PHILOSOPHY
It's not the road you walk, it is the walking.
K. Vatsyayan
When we travel life's roads with those we love, the point of the destination is always secondary to the quality of the journey.
(Dedicated to my good friend Devika)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am very new to Couch Surfing, but already discovered how amazing it is to learn about new people and places and simply share a nice time with people willing to meet and help each other. I have heard of it before but decided to start participating just before traveling to India. So far Couch Surfing in India has meant connecting with local people that would make me feel safe & at home. I am very grateful to be part of this and look forward to also help others once I'm settled in my own place :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Meet amazing people that would show me around their city, would give me their phone number and ask me to please call them in case of any emergency, and make me feel cared for in a completely new country traveling by myself. Have recommended it to every traveler I've met so far and also shared my short experience with them on traveling alone in India. I feel lucky to be part of this community!
Interests
Arts, specially film and photography! learning to cook healthy new dishes and cooking for others improvising a bit according to the local ingredients, listening to peoples life stories, I feel that life is like a film itself: everyone hides an amazing story to be discovered.
