Overview
About Me
American student living in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala for several months. I love the weird intersections of conversation, culture, and learning that take place in hostels, Airbnbs, and CouchSurfing environments.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I traveled around Europe February-July 2016, and now I'm in Guatemala from September-December 2017. Looking to meet people and find (or provide!) safe, fun housing. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
movies: Snowpiercer, Looper, District 9, anything by Christopher Nolan, David Fincher, or with Jennifer Lawrence, who is queen of all
music: a random playlist of mine would probably have alt-J, RHCP, Twenty One Pilots, Manu Chao, Lana del Rey, The Pretty Reckless, J Balvin, Melody Gardot, Regina Spektor, Carla Bruni, Halsey, Jack White, Florence + The Machine, Tove Lo, Nirvana, Hans Zimmer, Ludovico Einaudi, Gin Wigmore. Depending on my mood, alternative rock, dance pop, or indie. Also, Wicked & Hamilton, the only musicals I've ever loved.
books: The Righteous Mind by Jonathan Haidt; The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire Northern; The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss; Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie; speculative/sci-fi; anything by Ramez Naam, Margaret Atwood, Mary Karr, Mary Roach, and Orson Scott Card
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Did an overnight hike to Tajumulco, the highest mountain in Central America (which means it's not that high haha)
