About Me

Hi there.
I don't know. I guess I'm a rather open-minded person who enjoys sharing a good time with people, talking about serious and irrelevant subjects and listening to or playing music.
I enjoy discussing and philosophising about the reasons for why a book, a piece of music or a movie is just how it is and I would even go so far as to say that I like discussing things generally, whatever the subject may be. However, I am more than happy to hang around with people drinking coffee, making food or having a couple of beers.
Besides, I enjoy being around people who are observing their surroundings and who are doing what they want to do, whatever this even means.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of visiting other countries and simultaneously being around people who are actually living there, who can show me around or whith whom I can spend just a bit of time , thereby getting to know the country better and, of course, I like to get to know new people and make friends.

Interests

I'm interested in culture in general, which includes literature, art, photography, movies and politics. I'm also playing the drums and guitar. Besides reading I highly enjoy discovering new music and going to concerts and plays. Photography is something which I'm also interested in.
Travelling, hiking, getting to know new things and people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Basically, I think that this is a weird question and I feel like limiting myself when answering it, but for the sake of not being a smartypants (what a ridiculous word!?): Once, when I was in Ireland and had just climbed the Crough Patrick, which was not only due to our heavy weighed backpacks a quite difficult thing, but also because there was no actual way to reach the top, meaning there were only spiky stones and it would get steeper and, well, steeper, which caused me to almost faint (to some extent that is an exaggeration, which might be connected to the fact that I feal obliged to tell you something crazy, which is sad), and when I stood there, in the howling wind, looking out but seeing nothing else than the stone at my feet and the mist, I don't think that I felt anything but relief.
