Présentation
À propos de moi
I consider myself to be an openminded, 'go with the flow' type of person. I love to spend time with friends, be in nature, practice yoga, and really just enjoy life!
One of my favourite ways to do this is by travelling the world and experiencing new cultures. I first caught the 'travel bug' at the age of sixteen while travelling through India with my lifelong best friend and her family (who I will forever be grateful to!). In my later high school years, I was fortunate enough to meet an incredible friend at my local dance studio who was on an exchange from Brazil. On an unexpected whim, she invited me to come travel around her home country; I took a gap year after graduating and did just that.
That brings us to the present moment! I am currently a second year student at the University of British Columbia studying English Literature and Indigenous Studies. I have always loved to learn and am deeply enjoying the student life. This dedication to institutionalized education does not mean that my world travels have ceased. I try to visit somewhere new once every year during my school breaks, on the agenda for 2018 is Australia and revisiting Indonesia!
My boyfriend, Nick, and I will be celebrating our 6 year anniversary in June of 2018 (yes, we're your typical high school sweethearts) and are so stoked to be experiencing the wonders of Australia and Indonesia together.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I can think of no better way to experience a new destination that by living like the locals and meeting new people while I'm at it. I hope to meet lots of new friends while travelling through Australia and Indonesia during May and June of 2018.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
One of the most awe-inspiring and unforgettable experiences of my life was witnessing the total solar eclipse over Madras, Oregon in 2017. Those two minutes of complete darkness in the middle of a hot summer's day caused an immediate chill to the air as the stars began to shine. Nick and I lay on a blanket in the middle of a prairie field as the moon slowly passed over the sun. The most surprising part was the sun's corona, which shone a white light, rather than the warm yellow we are so used to. Oh, the beauty of the natural world and all its wonders!
