Overview
About Me
I live in DC and am close to the monuments, museums, and lots of great restaurants.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and stay with local hosts to learn more about a country's history and culture. Also to practice some phrases in a new language! I would love to share a good home-cooked meal and some tea while listening to stories about life and travel.
Interests
I love staying active by doing yoga, hiking, and rock climbing. Though, I do also love a good pub with craft beer and live music. On quiet nights, I like to read, do a puzzle, or watch some anime. And food! I try to cook often, especially when guests are over. I appreciate anyone that will cook a traditional meal for me to try.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen mostly to old records that I collect, but I like acoustic and folk music of all kinds and generations. And as long as I can see some live music, all is good!
To encourage myself to read a little more, I have embarked on a journey to read at least 50 books this year (which I'm hoping to double!). So I'm always taking recommendations for a new book to love.
I haven't watched many movies lately, but on hand I have various cult classics, disney films, fantasy epics, and comedic treasures.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in Ukraine teaching English for two years, learning the language and culture.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach some yoga, Ukrainian language, American or Ukrainian dishes. I would love to have discussions about travel, outdoor activities, international education. I am open to all there is to learn from others: culture, history, music, language, traditional meals, new hobbies.
What I Can Share with Hosts
meals, books, music.
