About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to learn a little, laugh some, smile alot and be happy all the time. Grow some more, drink a bit more and give everything a chance!
ABOUT ME
I am from Redlands City about 30 minutes drive south-east of Brisbane. I studied at a Catholic school, so am well-mannered, but have done and seen so much that you will find it difficult to categorise me. Physically, I am very active and love extreme sports, although I can rarely deny chillin' out having a few beers, reading a good book or watching a movie.
PHILOSOPHY
Take it as it comes! To experience as much as possible and be well balanced in all areas of life. Breeze towards my personal legend!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We were ambassadors while travelling in 2005 but when we got back to Australia we didnt have frequent internet access that is required by Couchsurfing. Now I am travelling solo through Asia. I love meeting the Ambassadors of the places I visit and talking about Couchsurfing and some of the more detailed problems that are arising. I prefer to talk one-one and don't like spending hours infront of a computer. I also enjoy telling other cool travellers about the project and the fantastic people who are part of it. Whenever i couchsurf i try to encourage the hosts to update their security fields and to keep in touch with past surfers. As a surfer I always endeavour to be of no financial burden to my host i.e. to keep it as an exchange that a price cannot be put on.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I can be quite shy at first but after hanging out with me for a couple of hours i warm up pretty quickly.I wasnt sure what to expect from couchsurfing when I first started traveling. Ive met some totally awesome people and some I regard as close friends now. I've surfed England, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Basque country/Spain, Canada, Hawaii, Portugal, India and AUSTRALIA - each have been a different adventure with people of very different characters and I grow after each step of the way. Beware:Couchsurfing can be addictive! A totally different kind of surfing but always a mad buzz! ;-)
Interests
Riding motorbikes, snowboarding, wakeboarding, surfing, lifesaving, martial arts, yoga... you name it! I love intelligent conversations covering numerous topics, including but not limited to: Travel, religion, politics, sport, history, language, books, movies, music, other social interests, mixing cool drinks and cooking good food.

Music, Movies, and Books
Loads and loads of all. Wicked movies like Matrix. If it sounds good then we generally like the music - hows that for a generalisation! Ive read loads of books and have a goal of reading as many classics as possible as well as what is listed on the Angus & Robertson Top 100 best sellers list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have rescued people while lifeguarding. Ive seen an albino humpback whale...maybe Moby Dick?! :-s I have been arrested by police for directing traffic. HA - bonehead! Ive climbed Mount Machu Picchu and intend to head to Everest very shortly. I also ran with the Olympic torch in the 2000 Sydney Olympic torch relay. Ive seen lots of shooting stars... this is amazing right?!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have taught Surf life saving skills including rescusitation and first aid. I can also teach surfing and yoga. I would love to become fluent in another language - Spanish is particularly appealing to me.
