The short: Friendly, easy going guy who enjoys interesting people, intelligent and imaginative discussions, and saying yes to new experiences. I also have a very solid personal philosophy around the karma of kindness, respect, and generosity.

The basics: Hmm...I have spiritual perspectives on certain things, but I'm not religious. My social and political views are liberal, but open minded. I also have a very self sufficient and pragmatic attitude about most things. I enjoy meeting and engaging with all different kinds of people, am very easy to get along with, and believe differences can be a catalyst for growth and are the spice of life.

I always enjoy grabbing a beer or a whiskey at the bar, especially a good rock n roll dive bar with a sweet jukebox or live music. But I definitely like to mix it up, and like a night on the town getting down(gotta dance out those demons) just as much as I dig hanging out with a small few around a bonfire playing guitar or playing a game of cards or just chillin'......or playing Taboo.....cause I kick ass at Taboo. I'm also a bit of a history nerd, enjoy talking about current events and debating(respectfully of course) social issues and philosophy, and am an admitted karaoke hound.

For the most part if you're a cool and have a sense of humor, then we'll hit it off.

It's an amazing resource for traveling. See new places and meet cool people, and do it sleeping on couches. Right on.

Interests

Playing music, which I've been doing since I was 15. I play acoustic and electric guitar, bass, drums, piano, keyboard/synth, ans sequencing electronic rhythms and arrangements. So naturally I like performing, jamming with other musicians, as well as catching a good show, of any genre.

Nature and the outdoors is also at the top of my list of personal passions. Camping, hiking, exploring, backpacking.......

Movies......While I'm a total Sci-Fi and documentary nerd, I like anything that's well done......or makes up for not being well done by being a very entertaining trainwreck. I also really dig films with interesting perspectives, twists, or try to say something meaningful.

Books....I typically read non fiction books and love biographies(especially about musicians/bands/scenes), history(ancient Rome and Greece are my favorites), and books dealing with social issues or science. I occasionally read fiction too though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing?......In 2012, with little savings and no job prospects, I crammed my entire life inside a 2003 Kia Rio and took a three week road trip across America moving from Portland OR to Washington DC. Did the same thing in reverse over six weeks in 2015.
