About Me
Like most everyone who has a couchsurfing account: I love to travel! I have been making my way around the globe for years now whenever I get the travel bug. Always think about doing the couchsurfing thing more but usually end up forgetting about this app and going with a hostel. Would love to remember more often that there are awesome people out there offering their home and an experience!
In my travels I have had some pretty interesting jobs: Collecting sap from birch trees in Alaska to make syrup, repurposing other peoples junk in a collective in Denmark, helping manage a river tubing company in Utah, dog kennel work in South Carolina, bartending for the better part of a year in Cambodia, countless kitchen jobs all over, countless odd manual labor jobs all over, and even some experience on a vineyard in upstate New York, etc.... you get the idea.
When I'm not in travel-mode I am usually home in the US in my little US desert town surrounded by endless canyons to explore, countless tourists and my four legged dog best friend.
Hoping to start being a host soon aswell!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am couchsurfing mostly to meet natives/expats of cities and countries in the most awesome way possible.... living in their home and experiencing life the way they do, while learning from them and them from me. And when I am done traveling and can offer my own place to others I will have a great idea on how to go about being an amazing 'couchsurf' host.
Ontop of all of that, it's always nice not to have to worry about paying to sleep somewhere for a night or however long it may be.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music.... All sorts! I guess that's nothing new for anyone anywhere. Specifically, the kinds I do NOT like are metal and country.
For films I'm pretty into David Lynch, Wes Anderson and Richard Linklater. But that is nowhere near the sum of my movie tastes.
Books, too many to list. Let’s go with some authors:
- Hermann Hesse
- Chuck Palahniuk
- Daniel Quinn
- Mark Z. Danielewski
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done is meet some genuine long term friends in my travels from all over the world. It's great to make real connections with people from all around and have them message you for years later wanting to hang out again. I hope to build on this for the rest of my life.
Living in Cambodia for 8 months was also pretty great.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am decent at playing guitar and okay at piano. Would love to jam or even teach what I know. I can also explain the art and processes of mycology if anyone is interested.
Would love to just trade travel stories and tips. Maybe talk about some random philosophies but leave politics out!
Also interested to learn about other cultures, especially languages. Or really just anything anyone has to teach!
