Irish, 32 years, mechanical engineer.
Previous jobs: mining maintenance planner, landscaper, builders laborer, industrial cleaner, council toilet cleaner (public sanitary technician!), barman.
Useful skills: Generally useful at doing practical stuff.
Highest Climb: 5545m in the Himalayas.

PHILOSOPHY

If you don't like it change it, if your going to fix it do it properly..........unless its my motorbike; in which case just fix it so it doesn't fall off

Send requests, sleep on couches, spare beds, floors anywhere really.
I have attended a couple of events and hope to do some more in the future

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is complicated, I started surfing sharing a profile with my girlfriend but we have gone our separate ways so now I need my own:) Bit too confusing otherwise
We surfed in most of the countries we went to on the trip - Oman, Dubai, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Cyprus, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia We had some really good times and met some amazing people and made some great friends

Interests

Anything and everything
I like traveling, camping, trekking, swimming, cycling, classic cars/bikes/buses, driving and navigating, motorbikes, anything outdoors, humans, animals, learning useful and useless stuff,train journeys, food and eating (I love cooking, sometimes but I love eating always),both watching and trying adventure sports. Not working. My most recent big interest is long distance international motor biking.

I started doing a sport called Crossfit while living in Australia and I absolutely love it but since I have been traveling I have let it slip but I'm planning a comeback

Movies: Documentaries, comedy and action (stuff blowing up).
Music: Everything, especially anything live.
Books: Love reading. Carrying books on a motorbike is tricky though:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sun rising over Everest while sitting at over 5500m.
Visiting the burning gats on the Ganges river in India
Having an Italian guy loose control of his car and crash into me writing off both his car and my campervan.
