About Me

ABOUT ME
I'm traveling on a healing path. I believe the best way to become a healer is by healing one's self first.
I'm outgoing, fun-loving, adventurous, friendly. I love meeting new people, exploring new cultures and having new experiences, this is why I travel!
I'm interested in expanding my healing toolkit and learning all things spiritual, from different religions, to new age practices.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling long term in my 1969 Volkswagen Bus. I've been on the road since October 2014, and prefer staying off the interstate, but rather prefer taking the by-ways and scenic routes. I've been on the West coast since March 2015 (except for the 6 months that I parked my bus and flew to South America for the winter).
I'm on a spiritual journey, reinventing myself and starting the next chapter of my life. I'm trying to find my tribe, I'd like to connect with like minded people and find the place that I'd like to settle down for a while and put down some roots, I don't plan on returning to New Jersey to live.

Interests

I have a 15 year Yoga practice and a newly established meditation practice which I am devoted to. I enjoy vegetarian cooking, when I have a kitchen to do it in, lol. I enjoy whitewater kayaking, and most aquatic activities, live music, reading, gardening and socializing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was twenty, I hitchhiked from New Jersey to California, landed on tour with the Grateful Dead, worked in Yellowstone Park and then Salt Lake City before returning home.
I was musical director for a local Arts and Music Festival.
I was de facto lighting director of a local theater.
I worked on a ganja farm.
I restored my vintage vehicle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be happy to trade a massage for a place to stay! I specialize in Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and reflexology. I'm also better at relieving headaches that any pharmaceutical on the market!
Also can offer a ride in a magic bus!
And I'm a pretty good vegetarian/ vegan cook.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Again, the aforementioned Massage, cooking and bus ride, but also good company and many entertaining stories and pictures from my travels.
Also I'm very neat, clean and respectful of other's space. I have a lot of practice at being a house guest, and make it a point to never wear out my welcome or be intrusive toward my hosts. I'm a professional dishwasher, and find that this is often a good way to show my appreciation to my hosts, even if they are only hosting me for just a meal.
