ABOUT ME

Wow, how to start! So much to say in such a small space! and how do you speak about yourself and remain modest? I would much prefer to get to know someone over a few beers, or a nice meal, but here goes.
I started out as a teacher of Physical Education and Maths. in the early years I was a semi professional sportsman (in those days my sports, sprinting and Rugby were almost exclusively amateur sports). British indoor 200m champion in 1970 (that dates me!), and played first division rugby in England and France.
At 30 I moved out of teaching and into Real estate. Had my own company for many years that I sold in 2005. Now semi -retired but still active in a consultancy capacity. I have spent over half my life in the south of France. I have four great kids that do not live with me and in fact I am divorced since one year. Now looking to travel and meet interesting people. HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i am new here and open to offers! I cannot host in this time as I am travelling extensively. However,I would be very happy to point you towards people who can and offer you advice on where to go. If you invite me into your home I shall be very interactive: i can cook, wash dishes, do odd jobs,food shopping,cut grass, massage etc.
Most of all I look forward to creating meaningful relationships with interesting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very little experience yet but willing to contribute a maximum. I am currently in Auckland for the rugby world cup, then will visit south Island before heading to OZ (Melbourne and Sydney) in November. Following this i shall be off to Manila for three weeks to see friends and where I have business interests, before heading back to France in December. Any surfers on my itinerary I would be delighted to meet you.

Interests

Rugby, track & field athletics, squash, skiing, wake boarding, tennis, swimming, snorkeling, diving, sailing, fishing, biking, hiking, camping in fact most sports! I also like art, theatre, ballet, chess, and the best of all types of music from classic to Led Zep! I am a member of the French Riviera Hash House Harriers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many to mention here... but I have some amazing stories to tell.. Once water skiied on new year's day without a wet suit from Cannes to the island of St. Marguerite.
