Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Very little so far considering I joined back in 2011 - my account was neglected, but hoping to change that! With moving back to my hometown of Belfast, I hope to be able show people around the city, give advice, and meet up for a coffee or something to eat :)
In the future I aim to do some travelling around Europe (and later, the world!), and hope to use Couchsurfing as a means of getting to meet like-minded people and enhance the experiences I have in those countries I visit.
Interests
I enjoy playing and watching most sports my personal favourites being basketball and football (soccer).
I'm always ready and willing to discover new places and see new things, I like to keep life one big guess when possible. My aim in life is to travel around the world as much as possible, I believe it's one of the best forms of education.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not a huge book reader, but I do love the Game of Thrones series (Song of Ice and Fire). Likewise, I have read the Lord of the Rings trilogy. You can see I'm a fan of fantasy action!
The trend doesn't end there with the books. LotR and GoT are high up there on my favourite movies and tv programmes. Alongside them are The Sopranos, and movies including Gladiator, Forrest Gump, Guardians of the Galaxy, and... The Lion King!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2013 I spent a year completing a construction internship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During this time I've had the opportunity to travel throughout southeast Asia and beyond, in what has been an amazing adventure of discovering different cultures, and meeting many new and interesting people.
To name just a few, starting a midnight hike up Mounti Merapi volcano (the most active volcano in a region of Indonesia) in order to reach the peak of the crater for sunset, standing in awe and taking in the sight of the grand Angkor Wat temple and Bayon temple outside of Siem Reap in Cambodia, and staying at a farm in South India while driving along dirt roads amongst acres and acres of lush green tea plantations to hike to waterfalls and peaks are some of the amazing sights and experiences I've been lucky to be a part of during this year.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share the relatively recent and highly interesting history of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland, and the infamous religious conflict that has lingered in the country until the 2000s. If I can't help you, I'll find somebody who can!
For me, I hope to learn from you too! I love hearing the stories of other peoples' countries and locations that they have travelled to during their life, especially when its through a person that has their own unique first hand experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My own experiences, my knowledge of the parts of the world I've lived in, and my home town and country. Oh, I can cook!
