ABOUT ME

A friendly, sociable, outgoing, talkative, patient and open-minded 4th year university student doing an undergraduate Economics dcegree in University of Glasgow, Scotland :) Is aiming to be a backpacker traveling to all countries in Europe before finishing my degree and maybe before starting my career in either Europe or Asia :) Would love to meet some nice people who share the similar goals and would love to exchange my travel or life experience or stories with them :)

PHILOSOPHY

You can just be young once so don't miss out any chances you have in your life (especially while you are free as a bird and are still capable of walking...) or do anything that you desire otherwise you might just end up regretting about the wrong decisions that you have made for the rest of your life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have been traveling alone since 2 years ago before I joined Couchsurfing and used to live in hostels for every single place that I visited. After hearing lots of good things and my friends' experience about Couchsurfing, I decide to try it out and see how it goes :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Found out about Couchsurfing from an European friend who has tried it in different countries before :) Well, it sounds really adventurous and appealing so I really want to try it :)

Interests

Talking to people from all over the world and making new friends (Yes, that is what I spend most of my time doing besides studying in the uni haha:) Don't tell my lecturers and tutors about it though haha)

Learning about different cultures and trying to embrace them, finding stuffs that I have never seen in either Asia or the UK and trying out any new food, especially the traditional ones in different parts of the world :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First time of escaping from the extensive China's border and visiting America and Canada with my mum when I was like 13, the year after I finished my first year of high school in Hong Kong :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you my first language Cantonese which is definitely one of the most important and useful Chinese dialects and is one of the two official languages (Well besids English of course^^) in Hong Kong and Macau. Moreover, I can also teach you Mandarin, which is the main Chinese language that all Chinese people use to communicate :)

Apart from the language skills, I can also show you how to make some of the traditional southern Chinese food that we eat a lot in our daily life in Hong Kong, you would see it is totally different to the food you have ever ordered from the local Chinese takeaway :) (Well to be honest, most of the Chinese food selling in the Chinese takeaway stores in Europe is not legit for us Chinese people I must say. It is a sad fact I know...)

I would love to share my travel stories to any of you guys, from Thailand to Russia just be prepared that you have enough free time to listen! In return, I would also love to listen to any of your travel/ Couchsurfing experience as I have just started using this site since this year!!!
