About Me

I’m a traveler from Seattle, Wa in the United States. I'm genuine, outgoing, loving and am always striving to keep an open mind, a sense of humor, and a thirst for life!

I'd like to see everything, learn everything, and meet everyone that I can in this lifetime. I've grown up fortunate enough to travel and it's put a need in me to see how different people live, experience cultural differences and see all the beauty this earth has to offer. I know I don't have the funds or the time to do it, see it, and learn it all, but I'd like to try my best with what I have. I'm much more motivated by experience than money

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to experience every day life, not just the tourist attractions (definitely some of those too though). I'd like a chance to see what people really live like in the places I go and make new connections. I am currently also on a mission to learn French!

Interests

I love to travel, meet new people, read, and have deep conversations, but pretty much anything can grab my attention. I’m curious, and am willing to try just about anything that won’t kill or seriously injure me (which being in my late 30’s means lots of different things that I used to love, unfortunately)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:

I love almost all types of music, but nothing makes my booty wiggle like funk/soul music. Show me something new!!!!

Movies:

I love mostly American films from the 80’s and 90’s (because that’s what I grew up with I guess), and my favorite filmmakers are Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, and Mel Brooks

Books:

“Ishmael,” "Siddhartha,” “The Alchemist,” “The Prophet,” and “Plato’s Five Dialogues” are probably the most influential books I've read, but I love reading pretty much any genre (classics, spiritual books, sci-fi, biographies, etc.). I lose myself in whatever I'm reading, so fantasy series are like a drug for me, like The Wheel of Time, Lord of The Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire, or The Dark Tower. New recommendations are always welcome!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve been skydiving before (and want to go again!)
